This is a two-part discussion regarding the Super Bowl. The first part pertains to the economic benefit that the Super Bowl provided to the City vis-à-vis revenue (taxes, tickets, and parking fees, etc.) in relation to the cost and incentives given to the Super Bowl Host Committee. The second part is to discuss the Miami Herald article (link below) of a free concert. The purpose of the discussions is to contribute to the City’s lessons learned repository so that there is continuous improvement in the future planning of large-scale events.
