SUBJECT:DISCUSSION REGARDING CHANGING THE THE RISING ABOVE LOGO.

HISTORY:

The City of Miami Beach has one main logo and many sub logos that represent various programs or events.  Each sub logo that is created has the overarching Miami Beach logo anchored with it and is used solely to promote or inform audiences of items pertaining to that particular brand.

 

Some sub-logos of the City of Miami Beach include:

·       Miami Beach Police Department

·       Miami Beach Fire Department

·       Miami Beach Licensing and Merchandising Logo

·       Miami Beach Rising Above

·       Miami Beach Arts and Culture

·       Miami Beach Culture Crawl

 

Some sub-logos currently being worked on include:

·       Miami Beach Economic Development

·       Miami Beach Tourism/Arts and Culture

 

ANALYSIS

The Rising Above logo, created in 2012, was created to solely represent anything pertaining to resilience in Miami Beach.  The following campaigns currently use the Rising Above logo:

CONCLUSION:
The City of Miami Beach has partnered with an international tourism branding company that is currently working on creating branding and collateral for a tourism campaign to promote the City of Miami Beach as an arts and culture destination that will then be used in all materials moving forward and be shared with all city partners, such as the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Ocean Drive Association, Lincoln Road Bid, North Beach and other groups that represent the City of Miami Beach in any way to ensure consistent and united branding and messaging.
