SUBJECT:	REFERRAL TO THE FINANCE AND CITYWIDE PROJECTS COMMITTEE TO DISCUSS THE SPONSORSHIP OF GROUNDUP MUSIC FESTIVAL.

BACKGROUND/HISTORY

The GroundUp Music Festival is requesting an annual cash sponsorship of $100,000 for the next 3 years in order to allow GroundUP to keep its program in North Beach. GroundUp has called North Beach home for the past three years and has grown to attract tourists from all over the world. I ask the Finance Committee to consider this sponsorship request.

Attached is the formal request from the event producer.
