SUBJECT:REFERRAL TO NEIGHBORHOOD/COMMUNITY AFFAIRS COMMITTEE AND THE FINANCE AND CITYWIDE PROJECTS COMMITTEE TO DISCUSS THE RENOVATION OF THE OLD FIRE STATION AND THE RELOCATION OF ENTITIES DISPLACED BY THE CONVERSION OF THE 6TH STREET COMPLEX.

RECOMMENDATION

Refer to the Neighborhood/Community Affairs Committee and the Finance and Citywide Projects Committee.

BACKGROUND/HISTORY

In light of the proposed relocation of Fire Station No. 1, Administration is requesting a dual referral to the Neighborhood/Community Affairs Committee and the Finance and Citywide Projects Committee to discuss renovating the old Fire Station No. 1 back to its original Morris Lapidus design, and furthermore, the possible relocation of entities displaced by the conversion of the 6th street complex into this future renovated facility.
