MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, ACCEPTING THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE
FINANCE AND CITYWIDE PROJECTS COMMITTEE AT ITS SEPTEMBER 20,
2019 MEETING, AND APPROVING THE CITY'S SPONSORSHIP OF THE 2019
CIRCUIT FESTIVAL MIAMI EVENT, ORGANIZED BY URGE MIAMI LLC (THE
"EVENT"), TO BE HELD ON THE LUMMUS PARK BEACHFRONT, EAST OF
THE DUNES, BETWEEN 12TH STREET AND 13TH STREET, ON SUNDAY,
DECEMBER 1 2019, WITH CITY'S SPONSORSHIP CONTRIBUTION
CONSISTING OF SPECIAL EVENT PERMIT FEE WAIVERS IN SUPPORT OF
THE EVENT, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $13,396.10.

| The administration recommends that the Mayor and Commission approve a sponsorship to consist of permit fee waivers for Circuit Festival Miami in an amount not to exceed $13,396.10. |

| | | | | | | | ANALYSIS
| The Circuit Festival is organized by a nightlife promoter from Barcelona Matinee Group. With a twenty year history, this company is noted for producing events such as Circuit Festival, La Leche! Festival, Matinee Easter Weekend, Girlie Circuit Festival and Matinee Summer Festival, as well as the Matinee World Tour, and is present in over 50 countries worldwide.
Circuit Festival Barcelona, claimed to be the World’s largest international gay event, has joined forces with Miami Beach party producers, who were collectively responsible for major events taking place during Winter Party Festival and the White Party Week as well as Miami Beach New Year’s Party and Urge Miami, to produce the only official Circuit Festival in the USA - Circuit Festival Miami.
Circuit Festival Miami takes place, in Miami Beach, during the Thanksgiving weekend and includes five (5) large nighttime events and at least three (3) daytime parties, including a beach party.
In 2018, Urge Miami LLC, produced Circuit Beach Party at 12th Street within Lummus Park, and the following fees were assessed for the event.
The 2019 event is set to take place on Sunday December 1, 2019.
