| | Please add to the September 11 agenda a discussion item to direct City Attorney to file an Amicus Brief should the City of Coral Gables appeal the Third DCA’s ruling in Florida Retail Federation, Inc. v City of Coral Gables to the Florida Supreme Court. After reviewing the City Attorney’s Letter To Commission, dated August 26, 2019, regarding the above referenced 3rd DCA decision in the Coral Gables plastic bag ban case, I would like to go ahead and authorize City Attorney Aguila to file an amicus brief on behalf of the City, should Coral Gables decide to appeal the case to the Florida Supreme court (which I am told it will).
