| AYUDA is a North Beach based non-profit that provides community services such as after school enrichment, parent skills training, crisis intervention, and more. AYUDA has submitted the attached letter asking the City of Miami Beach to grant it $35,000 to help stabilize 17-34 at-risk families with children living in North Beach. AYUDA will provide educational childcare for these needy families while it assists parents with obtaining gainful employment.
I ask the Finance and Citywide Projects Committee to consider the proposal and furthermore that it utilize concrete performance measures to evaluate the program should it funded. |
