| | I ask for the Finance and Citywide Projects Committee to discuss funding improvements to Indian Beach Park located at 4601 Collins Avenue for fiscal year 2020/2021. The Mid Beach Neighborhood Association recently passed the attached resolution asking for us to bring this park up to the new high standards for Miami Beach parks we have set for ourselves. Amongst their concerns they cite "a small shade sail that does not cover even 40% of the park, poor choice of playground equipment, poor shading, lack of seating, climbing equipment appears unsafe and inappropriate for small children is already showing signs of rust, and the park has limited square footage on a large parcel of land." |
