As has been customary in prior years, it is requested, that the City Manager, or his designee, be authorized to sign all contracts, agreements, and grant applications; renew any existing contracts and terminate existing contracts, as needed, from the last Commission meeting on July 31, 2019, until the first regularly scheduled Commission meeting on September 11, 2019, subject to ratification by the City Commission at its first regularly scheduled meeting on September 12, 2019.

Since this authorization is necessary to ensure that essential services and projects continue during the period between the last Commission meeting on July 31, 2019, until the first regularly scheduled Commission meeting on September 11, 2019, it is recommended that the Mayor and City Commission adopt this Resolution.
