On June 11, 2014 the City Commission adopted the Complimentary Ticket Policy ("Policy") pursuant to Resolution No. 2014-28638 (see attached). As detailed in the Policy, the City Manager's Office prepares a list of deserving organizations and groups eligible to receive complimentary tickets given to the City of Miami Beach by cultural and entertainment partners.
Each year, the Administration updates the list for Mayor and Commission approval.
Also pursuant to this Policy, the list of eligible organizations is to be reviewed and recommended, on an annual basis, by the Neighborhood/Community Affairs Committee ("NCAC"), and approved by the City Commission. For the 2019 year, the Tourism and Culture Department, revisited the list to remove all organizations no longer in operation, or who no longer meet the requirements of being a charitable organization and/or deserving organization.
The item was placed on the NCAC agenda with a list of eligible organizations.
On April 24, 201, due to some last minute changes, clarifications and additions, Matt Kenny handed out a revised list of eligible organizations at the meeting versus what had previously been attached to the memo.
During the April 24, 2019, NCAC meeting, the attached list was presented to NCAC for review, consideration and recommendation.
