HISTORY:

On June 3, 2014, the City of Miami Beach and AECOM Technical Services, Inc. entered into an agreement for professional services on an “as-needed basis” pursuant to Resolution No. 2012-27979.

On January 1, 2018, a Purchase Order was issued to AECOM Technical Services, Inc. in the amount of $198,097.65. The scope of the work included, but not be limited to:

•Daily monitoring/tracking and documenting of construction progress,
•Maintaining document control records,
•Verifying compliance with specifications,
•Conducting general site audits for quality control,
•Verifying test data,
•Verifying that the Design Builder maintains proposer Medline and as-built records,
•Preparing daily reports, and
•Supporting the construction engineering and quality control needs of the project which includes drainage, gravity sewer improvements, pump station upgrades, traffic signalization, streetscaping and harmonization of the 11" Street corridor, between Euclid Avenue and Jefferson Avenue.

Due to unforeseen conditions, the contract took longer than expected, requiring additional inspection services on site. This has led to additional fees, which will require a new change order in the amount of $36,789.30 plus $3,678.93 in owners contingency for a grand total of $40,468.23.

On April 10, 2019, the City Commission approved a referral to the Finance and Citywide Projects Committee to consider the approval of a capital budget amendment for payment to AECOM Technical Services, Inc., for professional services related to the Flamingo Neighborhood, Phase II Construction Project.
