| | | | | | | | ANALYSIS
| Outdoor playgrounds and parks are places where children can interact with other children and engage in physical activity in a natural setting. Park visits and outdoor activities can enhance children’s social, mental, and physical health. Given the importance of playgrounds and parks to the well-being of children who reside in the City, it is imperative to ensure our playgrounds and parks are safe, clean and inviting. Lamentably, they are not. I would like to discuss the poor conditions at children’s playgrounds and parks in the City with my colleagues.
The Director of Parks and Recreation, the Director of the Office of Capital Improvements Projects and the City Manager should be prepared to participate in this discussion.
