Please refer to the Land Use and Sustainability Committee and to the Planning Board an ordinance extending the sunset provision for the parking waivers set forth in Parking District Number 7 (Washington Avenue Overlay Area) for a period of 5 years.  The current sunset provision becomes effective on September 1, 2022.  Once it does, the parking waivers are no longer valid.  The parking waivers along with the other zoning regulations that form the Washington Avenue Overlay have greatly contributed to economic redevelopment in this corridor including the construction of two successful hotels and soon the city’s co-living project. Keeping the parking waivers valid will continue the evolution of this corridor.
