SUBJECT:	REFERRAL TO THE PUBLIC SAFETY AND NEIGHBORHOOD QUALITY OF LIFE COMMITTEE TO DISCUSS THE PRACTICALITY OF 3D PRINTING OF ‘LIVING’ SEAWALLS.

ANALYSIS

Please place on the May 4, 2022 City Commission agenda a referral to the Public Safety and Neighborhood Quality of Life Committee to discuss 3D printing of ‘living’ seawalls with the purpose of replicating coral reefs and mangroves, and their potential beneficial impact on the environment.

As part of the referral, I would request the City Administration be prepared to discuss at the PSNQL Committee the practicality and intended purposes of 3D printed seawalls along our shorelines.
