COMMISSION MEMORANDUM |
| | | |
| | | | | | | | TO: | Honorable Mayor and Members of the City Commission | | FROM: | Commissioner Mark Samuelian | | DATE: | May 4, 2022 | | |
| SUBJECT: | REFERRAL TO THE PUBLIC SAFETY AND NEIGHBORHOOD QUALITY OF LIFE COMMITTEE TO DISCUSS LIGHTING NEEDS ACROSS THE CITY. |
| | | |
| | | | | | | | RECOMMENDATION
| Public lighting is often thought to be essential for improving safety and preventing crime. One specific instance was recently brought to our attention by a concerned resident (attached you will find the resident email).
The Commission should begin to discuss critical areas where lighting is required, where new lighting should be installed and how the City can best work together with the County and State to be well-illuminated while remaining environmentally friendly. |
