Discuss the anticipated vacancy on the City Commission, due to the recent announcement by our colleague, Commissioner David Richardson, that he intends to run in the 2022 General Election for the Florida House of Representatives, District 106.

The City Attorney and City Clerk recently released the attached Letter to Commission, outlining the legal and procedural steps for the City Commission to eventually fill the vacancy.  Although I understand that there is no action to be taken by the City Commission until after Commissioner Richardson submits a formal resignation letter, I would like to have a general discussion as soon as possible, so that the City Commission and the public could better understand the rules with respect to this important matter relating to the governance of our City.
