ANALYSIS

Please place on the February 9, 2022 City Commission agenda a referral to the Neighborhood and Quality of Life Committee to explore the designation of the vacant city-owned property located at 6181 Pine Tree Drive as a public park for active recreational uses (for tennis, basketball, or other recreational uses).

Although the City recently approved listing the property for sale (with any sale subject to voter referendum approval pursuant to the City  Charter), any decision to sell should be made after vetting all potential uses of the property, including the potential activation of this waterfront property as a park amenity for the surrounding neighborhood.
