Please place on the December 8, 2021 City Commission agenda a referral to the Neighborhood and Quality of Life Committee to discuss the City’s Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) Plan for major events or high impact periods, and whether any changes to the MOT Plan should be made based on the City’s recent experience with the 2021 Art Basel events.  As major events return to the City following the 2020-2021 cancellations due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it is imperative that the City continually review its plans to better manage the flow of traffic for the benefit of the City’s residents and visitors alike.

Accordingly, as part of this referral, I would request that the Administration present its MOT Plan and be prepared to provide any professional recommendations for adjustments, improvements, or additional resources which may assist in implementation efforts.
